I don't think it sounds terrible. On the manual version at least it isn't much of an enhancement in the higher revs as it is a replacement. It overpowers the actual engine noise and is a bit loud for my taste. It's going to be a personal preference thing, and it's easy to try out unless your fingers don't reach.

What specifically if I may ask? I am struggling to find anything that isn’t either the same or better on the 2022 as on my 2013.

Mostly personal preference things, but just my first impressions were:
- 1st gen's rear. However, the 2nd gen looks much better in person compared to pictures
- the analog gauge cluster
- the simpler steering wheel (13-16)
- slightly more tail happy (i did opt for the 18" ps4, so can't complain too much)

2nd gen: Everything feels nicer. Everything is quieter and smoother (for example the windows and doors feel/sound more solid).
- The speakers & head unit is nicer and there's a proper arm rest. Though I wish the visor could extend
- The torque. As much as I love high revving NA engines, the torque here is definitely an improvement.
- The chassis is incredible: there's less body roll, the ride is more supple, yet there's even more cornering grip.

Agreed. The body/chassis feels so solid while driving, compared to the old car. It gives a feeling of solidity that I've only ever felt in 2 cars I've driven, both Porsches: 997 911 and 987 Cayman.

First wash today [emoji4]

The red really pops in the sun, really happy with it.

Got my mats! Unfortunately the interior ones came only as a set of 4, and the rear two are useless to me as I have already removed the rear seat bottoms. I like the cargo tray.

Also hit a mileage milestone (sorry, couldn't resist, I'm 5 years old at heart lol).

The mats look nice! I'm glad they're an option now. Still waiting for mine to arrive

Got it washed and put some 303 graphene on today. It was dark when we finished so no pictures.

I found that the PTuning plate relocation kit fits. I like the look; better than a plate sitting in the middle of the bumper.

Finally got my winter wheels and tires. It was time.

Stock sized Continentals on Crosstrek 17" steel wheels. Could have probably gone up to 225 width - not sure why I didn't do that, but oh well.

Disabled the engine noise speaker, and installed an MTEC clutch pedal spring!

Spring seems to be pretty much the same as last gen.

Got a nail in one of my snow tires. Deflated it pretty quick so I didn't get far before I noticed. It's repairable.

Removed the Subaru letters on the trunk lid. Kept the BRZ.

I gave her a quick wash, got tint done, added some emblem overlays, and added led dome lights.

Fellow front-plate prisoners, anyone got a front license plate adapter solution that they swear by? Not looking to do a tow hook install as I'm a bit concerned about attaching a piece of metal to a structural part of the car that might turn a fender bender into frame damage.

This looked promising for a moment before you get into the reviews that state the hardware isn't even stainless steel:

On my WRX I used some well nuts with a Bell "frame" but it was pretty jank and still resulted in the plate screws touching the bumper.
