No the new standard 2014 head unit is included but the addition of navigation and apps via the bespoke package is an upgrade. when I press the MAPS button it tells me to go see a scion dealer lol

Ah the life of being a consumer in this society! Just look at the trend with iphones or tablets. A new one is out every 6 months. You either upgrade or just deal with what you have. Something better is always coming out, and someone else is going to have it before you. Let's just all breathe and relax.

(I still use a flip phone) :D

According to the owner's manual, all FR-S's have an anti-theft security system standard. But, the new owner has to follow the manual's activation procedure since it's off by default. Maybe Monogram takes it up a notch with a glass breakage sensor.

Really? All I thought the FRS's had was an immobilizer...

I know all BRZ's have an alarm...

Push start equipped cars have factory alarm... I have that, plus the POS that is port installed... so I have dual alarm... lol

I would be PISSED OFF too!

I just find it funny that Scion needs to market a "Monogram Limited Edition Model" for what is essentially a normal option in Japan (GT Limited) and Australia (GTS).

hanabie 01-09-2014 08:11 PM

This series should have been sold as default. No markup BS on BRZ happened last year.

Someone needs to create thread, "I'm so glad I traded my 2013 in for 2014 Monogram Series"

Luis_GT 01-09-2014 08:23 PM

I'd be pissed off if they came out with a baby blue color...

Why would they? It's already been stated that the stock colors will be available.

I don't like any of the stock colors... I want something like nurburgring blue...

There was a post talking about potential yellow color. :)

That was about a Release Series 1.0 which was different from monogram. The poster also got caught giving false info and was banned. So I would take that info with a grain of salt.
