We are already in contact with UPS. They told us to wait for their call next week for the results of the investigation.
You will need to use tuner style lug nuts.”

Hi Stefano,

UPS is still doing an inspection on the wheel and packaging. It usually doesn't take this long, but because it is technically an international shipment, UPS is taking their time with this case. I am hoping to hear from them again this week.”

March 30th 2015 – Only starting now to build replacement wheel

April 28th 2015 – Asking for Express (I was quoted 1000$ for express to me) I also called ForgeStar that day asking about my wheel. One guy on the phone told me that the wheel was still in powdercoat and it was there since the 22nd of April. Again No ETA.

May 15th 2015 – Finally received the replacement wheel. It has 2-3 dings on the outer rims. The paint quality no it is horrible. Very hazy. I was also told that my replacement wheel was at UPS when I called a few weeks back.

Stefano,

I still have your other wheel here in our office. I can send you pics of it if you like.

That's basically the same type of damage UPS did to the previous wheel. I can file another claim with UPS.

I am sorry for the inconvenience, again.

May 25, 2015 – Still unfinished. I know they got paid out by UPS + received my 1st wheel. Yet they can’t do anything besides pick up the wheel from UPS.

I could not have sent the wheel back because I need to attend shows or else i'll lose my sponsorship with Falken.
Can we work something out? “

Total estimated time for ONE replacement wheel: 8 WEEKS
Total estimated time for FOUR wheels : 6 WEEKS

UPDATE:

UPS came friday instead of Monday and picked up my Canada Post package! They picked up the wrong package and now I cannot do a damage claim due to the fact that I mounted the wheel. What else was I supposed to do lol

Seems as though I am not the only one, wish I would have seen this earlier.

what a horrible experience, im sorry you had to go through that. i dont know why its taking them so long either..

hypermax 05-26-2015 12:15 AM

man, overhead is bad something. Return to ups>>>ups investigation>>>sent back to the wheel seller(factory)>>>>RMA return processing>>>>ship it out again>>>>wait, just typing this used me 2 weeks.

GT86_PRAGUE 05-26-2015 02:38 AM

So, some UPS guy can damage a wheel like that and you will put it on your car?
I dont know if other wheels are so fragile too, but this is scary.

Scalzo 05-26-2015 10:28 AM

I bought directly through forgestar. The first time it was UPS since the box was damaged so was the wheel. But this time no seals were ripped or anything. The wheel was just damaged. The only option would be to send it back and wait another 2 months. Problem is I'm Canadian , we don't have nice weather all year round. Also almost lost my falken sponsorship because of this. I just wanted a refund of one wheel since it was the second time. Remember UPS gave them a refund of one wheel and they also have the original wheel. What does it take to fix the original wheel and send it over as a spare, or even reimburse me a wheel

I remember hearing shipping horror stories about Forgestar wheels 5+ years ago in the Evo community, I'm surprised they are still having problems.

Aozora.BRZ 05-26-2015 11:26 AM

I can't imagine waiting that long for a replacement. What a bad experience.

cycleboy 05-26-2015 11:45 AM

That's really too bad.

My experience with them was just about the opposite. I didn't go direct, but through modbargains. They shipped quicker than the original estimated date and arrived in perfect condition. The powder coat looks great at over a year later.

Call your credit card company. Dispute the price of the one wheel. Get a 2nd opinion from another merchant that can fix the wheel for you. Give that to your credit card company along with all the info you typed out above.

matthui95 05-30-2015 02:31 AM

Customer service (and the one dent) aside, how are the wheels? I like these wheels, but hearing about Forgestar makes me not want to buy them.

I called the CC company and they don't want to do anything. They told me as long as I received the product they can't do anything. I even told them what IF i bought white wheels and they sent me black ones. They told me it has nothing to do with them. It has to do with forgestar's customer service..

I love the wheels, but I would never buy from them again. I don't want to rep a company who has terrible customer service.

Just cleaned the wheels couple of days ago and they paint is pretty bad on all the wheels. It is very hazy and when you run your finger on the paint it's bumpy as though they sprayed it quickly. (feels bumpy) The paint is like this only between spokes.

Still waiting for Forgestar...
