If you can figure out the code, (and know my bucket list cars) then you'll know something about what will be replacing my BRZ tS in about a months time.

That’s the Cadbury dairy milk color… or Royal Purple.
Are you getting A Porsche Targa 73-75 ish to help out on local milk production? My Second guess is a product with a big hemi. I may be quite wrong here, care offer any other clues. |
Alpha 4C?
|
The colour is also known as Purple Reign. This car is over 30 years old and the basic design is over 35 years older than that. :)

Built sheet says Cadbury Purple. Congrats there Duke.

OK, so for those who didn't find it here are couple of photos courtesy of Bring a Trailer.

Lotus Super 7. Holy crap! You do live reasonably close to a racetrack, I presume.
Congratulations. Details? Year, engine, etc.... |

I'm north of Trenton so ya... About an hour & 20 minutes to Mosport, (Canadian Tire Motorsports Park) 40 minutes to Shannonville and 2 1/2 hours to Calabogie. But, my track days are over plus, this is too specail of a car to flog at the track. This is going to be my fun in the sun, old man at cars-n-coffee, enjoy the back roads, weekend machine. You can get all the details from Bring a Trailer here: https://bringatrailer.com/listing/19...ham-super-7-5/ |
@Stephen W That is super cool and I'd say it does purple a lot more justice than a Plymouth Prowler, that's for sure. It was Colin Chapman's Exige/Evora before they were conceptualized. Relatively small carbon footprint compared to many of the cars it could lap, with a skilled driver.

Finally, hopefully, (fingers crossed) we got all the paperwork corrected so now the transport company can move ahead on scheduling pick-up, border crossing and delivery to the shop that’s going to go over it and get it certified. So… I might see it by the end of March.
|
Well sometime between March 19 and March 28 the car should arrive at the shop that is supervising the safety and doing what ever it needs to pass.
My BRZ goes in for its safety on Thursday. The new owner will pick it up when he can fit it in. Going to a new home in Kingston. Neat little tie in from the BRZ to the Caterham. They both are powered by four cylinder engines of 86mm bore X 86mm stroke. So my new 86 is a little more powerful at a rated 218 h.p. but it’s much lighter at around 1385 lbs. |
Congrats! Fantastic spec, and a reasonable price. Enjoy!
218hp for 1400lbs should be... interesting. I'd prepare for a few code browns! I rode in one of these when I was maybe 10, and still remember how incredibly fast it felt even though we were going 50 or 60. Is this going to be a daily driver btw? :D |

Alex, “reasonable price” from your point of view given what these bring in the EU. But for me, retired and living on a fixed income I am forced to sell/give away all my other toys. I’m no stranger to high speeds and unexpected happenings on road and track. My first car at 19 was 425 h.p. 427. I’ve also had big horse power small block V8’s and light nimble sports car like a 1973 Lotus Europa. No, not a daily driver. As I said earlier in this thread; This is going to be my fun in the sun, old man at cars-n-coffee, enjoy the back roads, weekend machine. It’ll be stored during the winter months. |
