Should they be brought inside the house, or will they be ok in the garage? I know race compounds are not supposed to be subjected to freezing temps, but does it really matter for the 200 treadwear...

Cruise did not work. It works now though, as I disconnected/reconnected the battery. The engine light went away, and cruise works again. I guess I'll see if it comes back on.

The axles are weak, and likely to be your first repair/replacement.
