Left the door panel hanging and just peeled the plastic back at the top corner so I could reach in to get the door stay. Used a hobby scalpel to slice the sealant a bit so the plastic didn't stretch...

Twisted my way under the dash with mirror and torch to find the fuse box and removed the fuses for the heated seats. That's something I don't need here.
