I'm about to pull the trigger on wheels FINALLY. I didn't want to start a new thread so here is really what my goals are...

Staying as close to stock FEEL as possible with slightly enhanced looks. I've heard the wider you go with wheels the more things change and I want none of that. Basically I just want a little more grip than stock.

So I've narrowed it down to these 3 options:

XXR 530
17X7+35
Hankook Ventus V12 EVO 2
215/45/17
37.4lb

XXR530
17X8.25+35
Hankook Ventus V12 EVO 2
225/45/17
41.55 lbs.

XXR530
17X8.25+25
Hankook Ventus V12 EVO 2
225/45/17
42.05 lbs

^^I've seen one setup on here with the 17x8+25 offset and it sat extremeeely flush(below pic)...however this would be at the cost of a couple of pounds over stock, and with added width and stickyness I don't want to bog the car down...I want to feel light but accurate. Also I'm quite scared to run 25 offset, out of all of the information I've siphoned on the forums I haven't really been able to conclude what the long term effects of the low offset would be on the suspension...not too worried about wheel bearings.

So Should I stick to stock size and get lighter and stickier?
Pick the setup that'll make you smile every time you look at your car.

Going by your three choices, I would pick the first option. Yet that's my preference, not yours.
