Tire gauges are a bit like a dyno to me - consistency matters more than accuracy. That said, the Joe's Racing gauges that many people use (incl myself) aren't terribly accurate over time. Just threw one away that decided to start reading significantly low - I always have two gauges so I can compare, one for the garage and one in the autox box. The new one I bought reads differently than the spare that I didn't throw away so not totally sure which one is correct. I might switch to Longacre.
