Are there detailed specs on this? CPU/RAM/ROM/etc?
Use Class 10 micro SDHC/SDHC cards, there's a slot in the left side of the head unit and you can cover it for a clean look. I've transferred all my songs to micro SDHC cards now(16GB), and they are MUCH FASTER too.

How does it get its internet connection? Do you have to pay for a plan for the 3/4g?

This. My phone is rooted, so I just share its internet connection.

I posted a while ago that the unit wasn't worth reviewing. I sent it back a couple days after receiving it.

Shitty to hear one of these days I should just get it over with and build my own. Just don't have the time lately.

Well, I'm currently in talks with some people to see if I can get one made commercially.

It's extremely easy to build an android tab, even to mate an android tab to an amplifier system. It's not that easy to design all the internals & components for automotive use... The thermal and vibration requirements alone are beyond the capabilities of most ARM based manufacturers (and there's a lot)...

I've just got done reading this entire thread, and it's been an interesting read.

I was also really interested in the CA-FI units, but the lack of firmware updates from them had me concerned. I along with others had been asking about it on their forums, with little response back. Finally they decided to just ban me instead. So there is no way I'll spend $1,000 on their product with customer service like that.

So now I'm back to looking for something similar from someone else. While I was reading this thread, I was hopeful that there might be some alternatives but looks like those also had the same problems.

The thread has died down for a couple months, so just wanted to bring it back to keep the discussion going.

I'm restoring my Camaro and a double din Android unit is something I really want as part of my system.

Chris

I am highly interested in this android head unit. This is the latest technology played with a number of double din "all-in-one" head units ranging from Kenwoods, to Pioneers, to Alpines, and even a Clarion mixed in there. They all pale in comparison. Great and informative post to read.

There's a few full android running 4.0 on eBay. Anyone had experience with them? Any comments on speed?

Just saw 2forme's comments, disappointed
