60k ? Holy funk....

As i would expect it to be. It will be GTR price. Remember 75k GTR ? Nbody would believe a Nissan to be that much ?

Honestly, if this come out to be C7 competition, i rather buy a C7.

Sting ray C7 is historical remark. Look into their spec numbers. Not to say, if you can bring the price down a bit by negotiating. Would be a killer.

Impressive though, Toyota.

With all due respect I disagree, BMW can build a fantastic engine, especially when it comes to inline 6s.
I would love to see the S55 engine in the production car (under that toyota cover), as it is about as close to a modern 2jz-gte as current engines get. Then there would also be a chance that this car gets the 6 speed getrag manual that the new M3/M4 will get. Im sure aftermarket potential will be there too with the S55.

True, but i see at least three C7's a day here.

How much tune-able would each one be? Most likely this one...

Honestly...a corvette is well...a corvette. They are always the same cars, you can drive a C5 and you'll know what the C7 is, just a lot better. I love them, but you're not far off from driving a previous gen to a current.

You will see many Corvette around, even with new C7. Because they are one common muscle cars in the States, Domestic. If you are talking about Rarity to own one, you should look into Ferrari, Lambo...Paga....Bugga.....etc.

How tun-able friendly the Corvettes are ? If you check into LS engines, you will know. Did you see how well the C6 cope with After Market Tunes ? Very easy with Bolt on.

Corvette is a Corvette, of course! But the C7 as the same as the previous ? You will need to look more into the design. C7 is a Brand new Platform.

The interior would be similar, yes....same Manufacturer, same Name....Even a Camry feel similar to my Lexus....well...that doesn't make them the same car as an SUV to a Sedan.

The Reasons why I think this 60k Supra may be better than C7 is

1/ Imported, not Domestic
2/ Reliability as Toyota vs Chevy
3/ Rear seats vs Front only

The rest...I could not imagine Toyota would have done better than the Vet.

Why did Toyota kill the Supra ?

Because they had to compete with Corvette.....the same thing now. How in the blue sky could you beat a C7 is beyond me.....the Pricing + Performances

Edit: It's stupid to argue about a car that we don't even know the specs for, i'm not even going to bother.

honestly, i think the body could use less of that "all over the place" styling. keep it nice and smooth, like that clay model, and i think it'll be sexy as hell. should make it understated, not flamboyant

I agreed. Seems like I under-estimating Toyota a bit, but as the 86 impression. Toyota may surprise us again

But we do know it's price range(maybe). So we can argue what it's going to compete with. And the C7 is pretty beast in that range.

It's different thou, dont forget the fact outside north america corvette sells # pummels. Globally Toyota can reach out to more potential customer then GM. All in all, the global auto martket just isn't like how it was 20-22 years ago. Also unless u know someone who drives a vette since young, younger generation really isn't that much into vettes even in america.
