We'll get everyone else onto the voxer app at IKEA before we head out.

IF YOU'RE LATE TO IKEA, reply to this thread in the morning letting us know. I will be checking it and letting everyone else know if we need to wait 15min extra etc.
(Watch @soulreapersteve be early )

It'S Harvestas Festivus (Harvest Fest) here in Hood River so Getting parking anywhere near Phreeeem will be impossible. I read as much of this thread as I could stand and still dont have a clear idea of-
Destination (exact)
ETA to destination.
No regroup points, planed rest stops or estimates of join up times in route, for those along the way.
Id join up along Hwy35 around Mt Hood (the town)
Doubt I'll hear back at this late point.
Come all the way out here and not drive the Rowena loops?
That's a shame.

google earth Rowena Loops

Or Take exit 69 (the first one past Hood River) and head East for one of the best pieces of road in the Gorge or about any where for that matter.
It's my test track since I live there.

I've been looking into this for people that are potentially interested. Take in mind I still see Hood River being the destination for stopping and relaxing for an hour or so.

Here are some pictures of the distance and where the loops are, they DO look very fun and it's one of those things that you won't come across often.

Scenic Picture from the crest:

The total Distance from Hood River:

The point of interest from Google Maps:

It's only an hour drive from Hood River back to the Heart of Portland, so most people should be able to do this road if they want and not be too sore from being in the car. Plus, this isn't your i-5 interstate roadtrip, this WHOLE trip will be filled with twisties and other such fun roads to drive on.
I can do more mapping and planning if anyone else wants me to. ( I like planning shit like this

oh my, full 180's. Let's see if this will top the roads I've done up here.

I'm down for that road, btw! It's already a 9 hour round trip for me, another hour can't hurt. lol...
