Cold air intakes on the FR-S/BRZ equate to not much more than engine bling, when it comes to the relationship between cost and power gain. If you're looking for a cheap way to improve performance, buy a drop-in filter and call it a day. They will result in pretty much the same performance gain as any intake system out there. Now if you're more concerned with the way your engine looks, then just buy whichever one you think would make your engine look the best. The Grimmspeed intake looks pretty slick.

I have the intakes narrowed down

So after some research, I have decided I either want, injen sp series short ram intake, or grimmspeed cold air intake. My engine is stock except for custom perrin header back exhaust. I want reliability, and good gains, input would be appreciated.

You obviously did not heed any of the advice previously provided in your other thread.

Does the narrow intake flow less air but faster since it's less volume and create a forced induction kind of effect?

If the dude is going to make a new thread every time he adds info to his existing topic you are going to need much more popcorn then that.

No. Try a simple science experiment . Breathe through a straw then breathe through a snorkel. If you don't have any of those available try going to a hardware store. Grab a 1/4" hose and a 1" hose. Proceed with experiment.

If you want to kick it up a notch run in place for a minute while doing the experiment.
