I've had a speaker rattle on the drivers side since the car rolled off the lot first week of November. No other issues.

It's no the cat, it's the motor itself. When you let off and it coasts down in high RPMs there is a rather harsh rattle/resonance.

Interested to know more about the mirror issue. Anyone know where the harness is, is it a bad mirror, or the short harness between the mirror/dome area? Hoping it's not a long harness going all around the car.

Per Kado's post (https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...04&postcount=2) it's a bad harness. I installed a homelink mirror myself, and have the same issue. There's wiring that's run around the vehicle up to the dome console. With the mirror kit, you get an additional 3 wire harness/adapter you plug into that and run down to the mirror. That adapter goes from 3 to either 8 or 10 pins at the mirror... I'm guessing they just don't have one of the 8 or 10 mirror pins mapped to power for the homelink lead.

Are you saying the wire harness that came with the mirror needs to have more than 3 wires? If so, that is a simple fix. Or are you saying the wiring in the car needs to be changed or connected to power?

The patch harness is bad, the car is providing power/ignition/ground, that’s enough. The patch harness doesn’t have the HL connected to the ignition looks like.

I haven't felt this under high rpm, but I've noticed a certain deep resonance that this car has when it's idling, especially when cold. If the car is inside a garage it really bothers your ears.

Not complaining but just observing.

Apple CarPlay crashes and reboots apps pretty frequently on me, and I've noticed the "meter" settings for the dash reset to off randomly - eg, the rev warning and selected gear display.

Other than that no real issues that I wouldn't consider normal at just over 2800 miles.
I'm having issues with Android Auto as well, interesting to see Carplay having some as well. Occasionally it just crashes saying device is not compatible. I always seem to have that error message if I turn off the car and leave the phone plugged in while say getting gas or something. Upon turning the car back on the same message appears.

Unplugging the phone for a minute or two sometimes remedies the problem, but not always. It's odd that it works fine in my parent's Crosstrek.

The only other issue I have is that the blind spot monitoring doesn't beep when a car is beside me and the blinker is on. The settings indicate the beep is on, but nothing. The shift beep does work though. Don't know if I'm missing something though.

Otherwise, and knock on wood, the car is solid. I haven't noticed any blinker issues yet.

CarPlay has been rock solid for me. Some cars/phones can be picky about cables though.

My friend all threads on this forum are "great".. obviously some hit the true enlightenment but only to be banned or or left to rust in the history of time.
