Does this mean they will show the final version that will be in production?

Nope, they are only showing the concept.

OK, I cant wait for it.

Hopefully they have full specs on the spec sheet.

Hm... IDK, US haven't got new ver 2L STI engine. Last 2L was bugeye ver which was good, but still had lot of problems. We can only pray and hope for the best.

Very good news. I hope its damn near the same as what the production model is gonna be. If they make a 2.0L turbo priced between 26k-29k and toyota's version is under scion badge I would probably go subie.

If the subie version turns out to be a rwd corrado i will buy it and keep it forever. i love corrados but fwd sucks.

Those pics are just a test mule though. The final subie version will be an ft-86 with different front and rear facias.

Subie concept at geneva and production versions of both cars at Tokyo in the fall...I can't wait

It just happens that Toyota are wrapped they have someone who knows the flat 4 back to front and knowhow to maximise power. I'll leave it up to you guys to work out who this So-Cal garage might be. He said they will deliver the FT-86 with the FB motor. He is of the opinion it will come as a 2.5 liter it is likely to be the same spec as what's in the Forrester. His shop is likely to get 250-300hp out of NA and 450-500 hp out of blown.

Could be fun.

Sorry that I can not name him or his shop. He is a new friend and has no idea I will post.
So this mysterious So-Cal garage, knows a completely new, un-released flat-4 design, with many new and different technologies or components, 'back to front' already?

And you're taking as fact this information from someone you've just met?

Please elaborate/clarify/source this.
