Should’ve cited, but STI times get worse and worse every year.

Unfair comparison though. 4 door heavy 5 seater sports sedan Vs 2 door light 2 +2 Coupe. Torque for instant acceleration and top speed are not worth comparing, are they

GTI V BRZ

2nd Place: 2022 Subaru BRZ
Pros
- Playful handling
- Positive clutch and shifter feel
- Affordable entry into the sports-car club
Cons
-Tight on space
-Rawness isn't for everyone
-Interior is only so-so and doesn't elevate the experience

Verdict: Sings a one-note tune, but what a tune it is.

1st Place: 2022 Volkswagen Golf GTI
Pros
-Strong engine with plenty of torque
-Practical hatchback body
-Handsome, well-appointed interior
Cons
-The touch-capacitive controls need to go—now
-Ride goes flinty in Sport mode
-Top trim pricing is steep for a compact

Verdict: Only a smidge less fun than the BRZ but far more practical, it may be the perfect car when you can only have one car.

Odd comparison, and the verdict was over practicality, which the BRZ isnt, and not something you buy one for.

First off all, it’s not a sports car. End of argument.

Unless its Randy Pobst doing laps, I don't really care for MT's writing these days. Is the VW a superior OVERALL CAR? Perhaps. But if we're talking sports cars here... this is why the Cammisa video was so epic.
