I don't have a bespoke for a few reasons.

1. dealer stereo options are generally overpriced (like bespoke) imo
2. I have an android, and they just don't work together

It seems kinda whiny to complain about an optional upgrade you don't like because you don't have something compatible. Did you do research in the bespoke befofe buying to see if it worked with android or not?Unfotunetely most car audio is based off iphones so it should always be looked in to. Its going to change eventually anyway in future models as tech moves forward like someone said, so I doubt complaints will really do anything.

The BeSpoke is XM compatible. I love my unit. Works great and pandora is just the tits. I have pro clip on the way and with it that's a NAV unit when my phone is hanging from it.

Tits

If you use bluetooth, then it doesn't matter if you have an Android or iPhone to use Pandora. I tested both devices and they work. I bluetooth Pandora on my iPhone and haven't ever used the cable because of the Nintendo 8-bit nav system w/ BeSpoke. If you get a clip to hold your phone up, that works better as a nav system anyway, especially w/ Google Maps. It's much smoother and having it bluetooth'd, you can hear the audio through your speakers.

So basically, having a cable lets you see album art on the head unit. Oh wow...

I saw the BeSpoke was an $850 upgrade and after I went for a test drive (dealer FR-S had the BeSpoke unit) I absolutely hated the BeSpoke so I looked around to see what I could get with that money. Turns out you can get a lot with that money. . .

The alpine unit I linked is Android compatible over bluetooth and in the store the tech was demonstrating with an android/samsung.

So then the purpose of bespoke is to look pretty? Cuz I can do that on the stock FRS HU.

Well, I suppose. I don't hate my unit, but I kinda wish I would have went aftermarket. I would have saved a lot of money. I'm content w/ the BeSpoke unit, regardless of device, I will usually find a way to make it work for me.

Quick question, does the BeSpoke upgrade only upgrade the head unit?

I actually like the bespoke system so far. Havent had Nav for over a year and kind of don't want to go back onto relying on it (although it would help during certain times). The bluetooth is more responsive than my last car, and I like how it shows a list of tracks. besides that, some audio controls on the steering wheel woulda been nice

I meant an android powered head unit. its almost like a tablet that mounts in your dash. i didnt want anything with a moving screen or a detatchable screen. The final decision just comes down to what will make the interior look nicer and a custom walpaper on an android unit i thought would be mighty fine. Here is an example:

Edit: the alpine unit you posted looks very nice physically

What are you talking about? My fr-s is one of the cheapest cars I've insured to date.

I was reading some more JD Power stuff last night and came across their summary of car manufacturers improving in all areas accept the entertainment area(audio, NAV, etc.). In that area manufactures have shown a steady decline, by 24%.

With that said, I thought it was fairly well known that aftermarket units are always far superior to anything that comes as standard or optional from the factory or dealer. That's what I have always read, apparently it still rings true.
