What is the rated torque for these shafts?
Why did the factory put a more expensive to produce two piece shaft in this car?
My RX-8 came factory with a single CF shaft.
Horsepower sells cars. Torque wins races.

I've always not liked how they rated in HP it makes things quite confusing. Still standing I am wondering what the limits actually are. I am expecting 325-375wtq until transmission internals a manage to hit the market. Should I just inquire from DSS the limitations since they base under nonsense ratings? My axles are rated for "600hp" from DSS and all I can think about is how they know what rpm I rev to :P

So i just ordered my SHAFT. I can't wait to get my SHAFT, so I can install the SHAFT and see what it feels like. This SHAFT should add a little bit of driving pleasure. Man, I can't wait!

SHAFT!

CRAP!

See what happens when I get all excited. I go and order the AT instead of MT... damn SHAFT!

Jeremy - Can you make sure an MT is sent out and NOT the AT one? Order #4836

Tried calling, but I keep getting the voicemail...

just wondering but in theory wouldn't removing rotational mass from the car with the carbon shaft better the gas mileage a bit if not pounded on?

Given the moment of inertia, the effect wont be large.

How important is the dust cap? That gap?
I was looking for construction differences between the two shafts
I'm getting one, just which one.

I've got my eye on an aluminum one. Seems like it would make a noticeable improvement to the car
