Here you go, since you like cats so much.

His name is Simba, and he's currently 14 years old. He's a cranky old guy, but he's our BBQ supervisor. Rain or shine,he's always out on the patio supervising the grill. He also loves that blanket, we currently had to pet sit 2 golden retrievers, but when we brought in the blanket he would immediately calm down.

I also have a big goldfish named "Jaws" and a tree frog, if anyone is interested in seeing them.

You know it is cold when the cat hugs your dog to keep warm.

Can't forget about Jaws.
We got him when he was way tinier (he's currently about the size of my hand), and the reason he earned the name Jaws? He came with 5 other fish. The fish were all gone the morning later.

Nice! I've been doing a lot of research into getting one lately. I've always wanted a dog, and now seems like it's finally a good time for one. A lot of my research is telling me that they have a very distinctive "scream" they like to use to beg for stuff/express displeasure. I saw some Youtube videos, and it is a bit overwhelming. How difficult are they to handle, from personal experience?

I've heard Rebel scream once in his life. When I was doing his nails. It was blood curdling lol

Other than that ONE time ever, he makes literally no noise. He will bark once a month, if that, and it's just like one "wofe" not extended. Just one.

I'm sure other dogs are different. He just hangs out all the time, cuddles, is quiet. Never messes with stuff. Perfect dog for me.

Awesome. How floor and car friendly is yours? I've been thinking about carpeting one of the areas on the ground floor (got hardwood) for the dog to hang out in while he's younger. And I've heard that shibas are cool with car rides as long as they're in a carrier. Although yours seems to have no issue riding in the passenger seat.

He absolutely hates laminate/hardwood. He always waits outside the bathroom with a concerned look on his face like "ARE YOU ALRIGHT IN THERE? HELLO! I'M HERE IF YOU NEED ME."

Rebel has never really liked a kennel, I've always left him out. He's chilled in the car through movies and whatnot. He doesn't ever mess with anything.

As far as the car/house go, they shed like freaking crazy, so that will be your issue.

Also these are my experiences with Rebel exclusively, and I think he's uniquely passive and chill.
