Although I'm sure you guys are right - it will be more expensive than the BRZ Premium, which flips the arrow back towards the BRZ for me. Even if the pricing were identical, Subaru's flexibility on negotiation will bring the BRZ's final price tag back down. |

The way I look at it, this just means more variety in North American OEM parts. I love my FR-S, and I want it to be special, but not special as in limited edition, but special as in uniquely mine.
It's bone stock now, and matches exactly to the other three Raven FR-Ses in town, but over the next year or so, it will start deviating, and will truly be something special.

Sup people!? atleast now we'll have more options, with part numbers available and hopefully a cheaper price. all that stuff we can just add on. BUT.. I am gonna feel a little frustrated if the price tag on this new monogram edition is close to what we payed for our 12 and 13 FRS'. Toyota should maybe give us owners discounts to upgrade to the jdm features.

Quite happy because I just sold my 1-year old FR-S with 500 miles in anticipation of a car like this. The 2013 FR-S's resale value has just been murdered and I'm thankful that this car is coming out because it can actually hold its value a little better. Definitely excited about this...

I really don't think resale value on a 2013 will be murdered. This Monogram version will most likely cost as much or more as the 10 Series did ($28-29K before add-ons). It is not like Toyota is going to sell you this Monogram version for $25K..... |

____ As a 10 series owner, I have no problem with this. There are still only 2500 silver ignitions in the world and will be, plus I got my car a lot earlier to use and enjoy. Honestly all the current paint options don't speak to me at all. Ultramarine's flake is too large and overpowering in person, white is nice but the 86 white seems to go yellow waaay too soon for my comfort. Already have black, PITA color to maintain. No way I'd get argento of silver ignition. Don't do red or orange cars. I'm glad others who didn't like silver ignition now have options. I'm pretty sure I won't be sad either once pricing is released compared to the 10 series. I also have a feeling the strength of demand of us 10 series buyers helped greenlight Toyota's decision to offer this Monogram option. The only thing that will make me regret getting a 10 series is if Toyota comes out w/ a KERS Hybrid FRS w/ 2.5L at the same weight at the current car. |
