That is true. Usually though in most plus-sizing there tends to be a slight increase in OD for the casual user. Downsizing is more sidewall, so yeah it's all about balancing choices together.

OEM 16" is Yokohama decibel E70.

The ones on the pic are Goodyear Efficientgrip Performance 94W, an european summer tire that usually ranks high(est) in various tire tests over here. Only complaint so far: almost too much wet grip that makes it skippy when breaking traction/grip in the wet, might improve with some wear... (EDIT: They did, they just needed some scrubbing in) (EDIT 2: no they didn't, moved to other tires because of this, on my car)

That's very good to know: right now my car handles lovely in the dry, but I take one corner fast in the rain and it all goes wrong haha.

At least with RWD I can now play off a spin as a donut. On a freeway onramp.

Sorry for the shitty pic, test fit before I bought these second hand. $100 for a set of wheels was too hard to pass up for winter wheels.

Picked up some factory 15x7s, with 205/60s for nothing; swapped the OEM wheels onto my daughters older Subaru (99 Outback Sport). It sounds like a great set to either run rallies with or install a set of winter elite tires on, maybe Blizzaks or studded.

A bit pricey...but looks like they can make any size...including the infamous "17x9 et35" ...I'd prolly go a tad more aggressive and go for the +30.. might as well, especially if you were dropping $3k already lol.

Got a confirmation and quote for price and shipping to the USA for real Watanabes...also, they can definitely make 17"x9" et30-et35 in 5x100

But dang that's expensive for plain ole alloy wheels. They're not even magnesium nor forged nor light weight...can't really justify the price. Almost the same price as real Work or Volk forged wheels lol. Wish Rota made these.

"Yes we can make either of those, in that bolt pattern they are AU$790 each. Delivery is AU$320 for a set of four, manufacturing time is 12 weeks.
Thank you
