have you guys get the DRL working properly? I have everything working except the DRL. my temporary solution is wire the drl to the turn signal, so it lit up during the night time or turn on the light switch, but not working in day time. my DRL resistor wire is not getting power at all when engine is on with only 0.5V instead of 12V

Reviving this thread, I recently bought a set of the Valenti headlights, I own a 2013 frs and also got a morimoto xb d series 3500 hid retrofit kit with the relays, ballast, and igniters. I am pretty sure I figured out the headlight harness wires. Next is to repin my 6 pin harness and figure out the signal wires. I have attached a photo to what I think the wires correspond to. Let me know if it looks wrong, and if you have any tips on how to wire the dual filament parking/signal lights!

You may want to use this wiring harness diagram (for an FRS): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byp...1GY3hNTkE/view

It helps when you're repinning to look at these diagrams by function rather than color, use the color to orient yourself to the right harness plug and source. Only look at the pinning of the plug you're changing - so the link I provided above is the harness pin out from the chassis (not from the headlight). The headlight harness (from the HIDs/bulb) will be mirrored. So when you go from 6 to 8 pin, do all the repinning on your chassis harness and then worry ab the parking light power supply.

The parking lights can be done a variety of ways but I tapped into the parking brake resistor box power supply. Heres a vid of what I did:
By doing that, the parking lights will remain on just as OEM does and you can still use always on modules if you so choose. You can just go crazy and hook up power from anything to the parking light but without a resistor they are pretty bright at least on the monograms, so a resistor is necessary to calm it down.

Let me know if you're now thoroughly confused. Or someone else chime in if I'm wrong.

Second revival.. is the diagram you shared what I should follow when re-pinning? Any new tips you'd want to add in?

I'm looking to fit these onto a 2017 GT86 (Also in Canada), pulling the trigger on a set of these and am gauging the work I have cut out for myself. Any shot at being able to re-use the OEM bulb off the 2017+ headlights? Or need to run an aftermarket HID ballast?

Thanks in advance. Great build

Edit: Partially answered my own question, you can re-use the HID bulb and D4S Ballast off BRZ models, but the FRS (Non-10-series) and 2017+ 86 you will need a new ballast and bulb.

Adding to the thread for any 2017+ Toyota 86 owners, here's your harness diagram attached. Tested all harness functions myself, then flipped over to a Toyota Master Technician to verify.
