Automatic Door Lock/Unlock - Do we have the option?

My old Toyotas have the option to turn off/on this feature. Others cars lock automatically when shifting from P to D while others work after 8mph or so.

Unfortunately, I tried a few different Toyota commands shown here but nothing works. I have a feeling this is a Subaru door locking module.

Can anyone confirm if we have this feature? Thanks much! :happy0180:

Yes, I know some of you hate this but having the option is nice.

Sure do want this feature but it's not discussed in the manual.

I do not think this car has it... which is weird. The last three vehicles I've drove all had this option by default. In my 97 Toyota Tacoma, as soon as I started the engine, the doors would lock and would unlock the driver's door only when I turned the engine off. My Pontiac G5 and Chevrolet Cobalt SS automatically locked the doors when I went more than a few mph and would unlock when I turned the car off. Interesting that the BRZ/FR-S doesn't have this. Then again, I don't mind not having it.

dont really know what i can do but all i know is i parked my car, got out without locking it (i was just hanging with some friends) and when i came back a lil later my door was locked. I also know no one locked it because i was standing near my driver door, passenger door was locked.

My BRZ does the same, though I also had the dealer install a remote starter, so I don't know if it's the car itself that does it or the remote starter, I always assumed it was the car though.

there's your answer. the BRZ auto locks after a minute. FR-S does not without an aftermarket alarm.

edit: nvm, thought @WolfsFang had a BRZ. dunno then.

My BRZ definitely does not autolock after a minute or any other combination thereof. It just doesn't lock. My BRZ does not have any dealer installed options like a car remote starter.

Hoping someone can confirm if or if not the BRZ has this option from the factory and not some dealer installed option.

(btw.. my aftermarket alarm in my other car also auto-locks on ignition but it didn't until after the alarm was installed)
