For the estimated $3k markup over a BRZ Limited, one gets:

• STI lip kit
• STi wheels
• JDM under panels
• JDM exhaust tip (same as other MY2015 cars
• knee pads
• different color stitching
• frameless rear view mirror
• STi push start button
• painted calipers

I highlighted the parts that we often order for our pre-2015 cars... definitely worth the markup, if you can get past the painted calipers and blue stitching (which isn't for everyone).

A very good deal. What is that, like a couple grand lower than sourcing individually? Here are my thoughts:

-STI kit should be easier to attain now, hopefully the standard 20% Subaru parts discount will apply.

-Wheels that come only in black 17's is a deal breaker. I imagine these will be showing up in the marketplace pretty frequently for those wanting to upgrade for size, or traditional silver STI wheels. I personally want gunmetal.

-Tips, pads, etc… Already available and not much to be excited about.

-The blue stitching is very subjective, I can see some people liking it with the WRB. But on white, the traditional red stitching should be mandatory for the classic sporty look. The blue on the steering wheel and the seats bummed me out… Why oh why, Subaru? Leave that option for Scion. FRS owners are now laughing in our faces… and who wants to go around saying they have a "series.blue", I was hoping that was a typo and whoever came up with that should be kneed in the groin. On a side note, I'm looking forward to see the WRB Pearl.

Overall a good addition to the lineup, but I'm not liking the limited series option as it come with great upgrades, but with blue accents. For those who are considering one, I have a feeling we will be finally expecting a facelift/engine adjustments for next year. I know it's an annoying topic, but I'm surprised they avoided that for this year.

Exactly my thoughts... If I saw this car coming I would've waited for this version.

Sell/trade/downgrade interior with someone with a Limited car.
Get the MY'15 parts.
Pay less than upgraded individually.

Hell, I'd even swap calipers just to get rid of the red.

But I'm most excited about the possibility of ordering these parts from a dealer. Any dealer can get these parts now, since they are "US market approved" as far as Subaru NA is concerned.

I think 4 years (2012-2015) is a pretty normal time frame before a facelift happens. the real question should be will the twins have a 6, 8, or even 10 year life cycle?

Exactly… Can you say free shipping? I definitely wouldn't mind having them instal aero parts as well, considering many people aren't comfortable drilling holes.

You may be onto something… You could easily trade the blue interior and keep the aero/suspension goods. Possibly come out even swapping other interior parts. I mean I don't mind the blue stitching, just that dang steering wheel and seats… Makes you wonder if they only went with two colors in the series, since the blue looked like shit with the rest of the lineup lol.

^^ yup. I didn't get a FRS because I hated the red patch on the seats, and I feel the same about the Series.Blue BRZ for 2015.

Blue trim I can live with, blue patching on seats is a deal breaker for me. But I'm sure someone likes the blue more than me, so we can swap.
