3000k HID low beams

ATM I have 6000k HID lights as my low beams. They are great for long distance sign readings but they are pretty poor lighting up the road in front of me. I was thinking of getting 3000k HID as my low beams but want to know if anyone else has them and there views on it. I know it would be a ton better than the 6000k HID for lighting up the road but I would like to know how far the reach would be.

3000k is going to be yellow. as noted above, 4300k would be better suited.

I have yellow halogens in my lows(hella optilux xtreme yellow). To me they work great. Id assume hid's would only make it better, ive actually been thinking about getting some 3000k hids to replace my yellow halogens.

3000 are the better bet with the 41/300 you get that nasty cheap halogen look

The replies in this thread remind me of a Honda forum. In the worst way possible.

yellow looks great because it creates contrast that a white light does not. 4300 puts out more lumens (what matters) than 3000 or 6000. However are these just drop in HID? probably why your view out front of your car sucks.

They are not worth the money. Iv compared the stock lens to someone they had retrofits and it was not worth the price.

Oh really? You compared the lenses and determined that the optical output of the projector assembly was not worth the price?

If you go with 3000k you're going to annoy the fuck out of other drivers and also look like a tool.

For $300+ it is not worth the price as I hardly drive at night.

Any improper aligned light would annoy drivers. I get annoyed from oem hid's on cars. Also if it is effective on what it does I dont care on people's views on me.

Also can we keep this on topic? I did not ask for retrofits, if i wanted to retrofit my car I would of done it way before i bought my pnp kit. I thank you for trying to help me in that way but I just needed some input on 3000k vs 4300k.
