We used to have a thread like that, but I've since forgotten the name. I'm not sure if it worked for anyone, but it certainly opened up some great networking use to the forums.

I frequently have to recruit engineers, IT guys or other tech positions. Most are for Canada but sometimes there are positions in the US as well.
Have forwarded a few resumes for guys on here to our US HR but never heard from them if they even got contacted.
There is nothing that would make me happier than getting somebody here (that I like) a job!

If anyone wants to discuss Agile/Scrum software development, I have a few certs, few years of experience and have worked on a variety of projects. We can start a thread, just tag me. Curious if anyone else does software dev?

Disclaimer; my experience is on the project management/product ownership/analyst side. No deep technical knowledge.

I first read that as PCP and was a bit nervous what airline you flew for!

Undergrad in Electrical Engineering and EIT certified in case I want to do a PE license later. Wireless communications was my favorite EE subject so I took courses to get a couple certificates. I helped a classmate who forgot how to do integrals who happened to be well respected at her workplace. She recommended me to her boss which got my foot in the door of the wireless comms industry. Now with my 3rd wireless comms employer and pursuing a Masters degree to be completed this June in Wireless Embedded Systems. My employer awarded me with tuition funding of 100%. Pic of my capstone project (an exercise in OFDM and GPS tracking):

I can get some yes but usually just pass those qualified onto the US HRs. It can be very difficult getting Canadian work permits right now. Even though I can't find qualified people here half the time the Government says they are there and I have to hire them first. French is not required. I barely speak it and am way better than 99% of the others. Now if you speak German that is a huge advantage. Japanese helps as well.
