Disabling "panic brake..?" with OFT.

I've searched, I don't think I know the correct terminology though. I want to disable the power cut when engaging both the gas and the brake. I always do the pedal dance when autocrossing but it does not disable this feature. Is this feature even called panic brake? Can it be eliminated with the OFT?

Thanks

You're probably thinking of Toyota's "Smart Stop Technology" to address unintended acceleration. Not sure if OFT can disable this but I'm subscribed to find out.

@Thorpedo: Try to stop the brake pedal switch working for the pedal travel you use during an autocrossing event (NOT for road use!). No signal from pedal -> no switching off power. I'd try to disadjust the switch in a way that it works very late (but still works). This way other systems and race control might not complain, even the brake lights work (ok, a bit late ) ...

That sounds unsafe. Why not just unplug the sensor while you're at autox? You don't need brake lights, you're the only one out there...

Thanks for the response guys. I have thought of unplugging the sensor but obviously there are downfalls this (most of them involving my horrible memory)

Between this and live tire pressure @Shiv@Openflash should have lots to do! Lol

Any other ideas?

I'm confused on this as well... I can left foot brake and definitely don't get throttle cutting at all.

I can log/video it if anyone wants to see it, but I can be driving and floor both pedals without anything cutting out.

It might be a USDM thing because us Americans can't drive without doing something else at the same time...

I mean, I usually just drive and text or drive and eat. I guess I could use both pedals at the same time.

I can't imagine the Canadian cars wouldn't have it if the US cars do, but anything is possible.

Anyone that has experienced this engaging, what are you doing to make it happen. I want to try to recreate it now.

Easiest way? Try to do a burnout and engage the brake after getting it spinning to keep from moving. At the strip is where I encountered this problem.
