Just hang tight, sure FT86SF will take care of you, best service for sure. I have utmost faith in them, haha. Mine are still pending production too, hopefully it'll come out looking pretty good.

The imperfection around the opening is like a weld. It's weird. Then there is that scuff on the outside. Ugh.

Just got an email back from them and they said it should be no issue and the gaskets should seal it up. I guess that's ok.

Smog will check for aftermarket logos.

Alsp to @husker741. What the hell happened to the header? For 1G id ask for another one. Id be pissed if I got a header with openings like that. *hint hint*

Yeah, I'm upset but they said the gaskets should seal it up. I do expect a near perfect product for paying as much as I did....

I don't think there's anything to worry about, but I just want to make sure.
Wow... looks to me like the flanges were ground flat after the runners were welded, but the welds/flange wasn't quite square so they ground into a little bit of both, making for a not-so-clean finish. Granted, they are right that these would still be functional, but still looks like crap. Like alot of folks said, for ~$1k I would hope that quality control would be a little bit better than this.

Keep us posted, hope FT86SF make it right for you. This is seriously making me reconsider my purchase...

We already told husker741 we would exchange it, functionality wise it is fine as mentioned. That should not have made it out past QC. Our apologies on it and like always will correct it if husker741 wishes.

Maybe see if you can get a ride-along with someone. It's not overly rumbly like you often hear with a WRX. Sometimes with the windows up, I don't even notice it.

If anyone doesn't want their order after seeing Husker's, I'll give you my address and a check for the price of the header.

First of all, my posts were not meant to be negative on @FT-86 SpeedFactory at all. I am a stupidly anal person for my car, so I check literally everything. They got back to me right away and told me I could send it back if I were not happy, but they assured me it will be fine with the gaskets. They are a great company and BY FAR the best for our platform.

I took out my leveler to check out the flange, and it is perfect.

I then put the gasket on top to see how it would seal and it will be completely fine.

Please, no one take my posts as negative towards the company, and also, don't make this a reason to be nervous or not buy the header.

If @husker741 sends his back, I'd be interested in buying it at a discount. It will save you the time and effort getting the flanges fixed for the next guy. @ft86 SpeeFactory
