aside from the weird roof and hood vents, this image screams production model. it barely looks like a concept car.

Except it’s a made up (unofficial/fan) render, not an official concept. That’s my point, if this goes into production it has as much chance of looking like this as any possible new MR2 has of looking like the dozens of fantasy MR2 renders made over the years, which is to say very little.

Ok, if I have this right it goes something like this.
In South Africa there is a GR Yaris rally car to compete in some weird class. It is based on the previous model Suzuki Baleno. The rally car has a turbo 2 liter engine which has no relationship to a possible road going GR Starlet.

Having a Baleno as a basis for a GR model sounds pretty ordinary to me but it is early days and there has been no more info since the original rumour.
