Because I want all the damn features that I wanted in the first place, and no, I didn't want a BRZ because I don't like the front. Will I trade mine in for another if a newer one comes out with more power or whatever? Doubt it. I'll just buy a supra once this one is paid off hehe (if it actually comes out).

in your exact shoes, I owe about 12k , if I parted my car out and combined it with my tax return I could probably come out with way more than 5k

Why would you part out? Wouldn't move mods over to new car? I have a few jdm goodies that already come on the monogram but otherwise all mods going to new car. I already spent too much $ on that to let those go to waste. Especially exhaust. lol

It's pretty much up in the air due to it being so soon.
He did say it looks like they will be hitting the dealership lots in early Feb -but in regards to the actual dealership I was at(long island) he said it could be until late Feb, March.
Regardless I'm glad I went when I did because he's inquiring about what color/transmission I want so I'm confident he'll be able to grab one for me

10 series was a 2013. Monogram is 2014. I wouldn't be surprised if they did a RS 1.0 later in the year as well.

If there's a demand they'll build them. They are a business you know, in it to make money.

Right. I called someone at Scion corporate about that recently. Monogram color distribution ordered nationwide reflects 2013 sales velocity:

--Whiteout, 25%
--Raven, 20%
--Firestorm, 20%
--Argento, 20%
--Ultramarine, 5%
--Hot Lava, 5%
--Asphalt, 5%

Also, they ordered about 80% 6A/T's with the idea that Monogram buyers are looking for luxury and so automatics. Not sure if I buy that, but 6M/T's will be rare.

I switched my order to Asphalt, estimating that it will be 1 of 20 Monogram 6M/T's nationwide in that color, possibly the only one in the Pacific Northwest.

I suspect based on the 10% (250) off the 10 series to come to Canada, that 200 comes to Canada in the offered three colours: Raven, Whiteout, Firestorm.

How are they cannibalizing sales by rolling out a limited production special edition or two? Or do you actually think that everyone wants the loaded to the gills model?

I think it's more of a case that people buy something, something new comes out with a few changes, and this is the response:

It's the same car. gtfover it.

mba lol. Good for you internet smarty pants, here's a few imaginary internets points!!
Here's an idea.. Why don't you go to Scion corporate and get a job there if you think you can run it better?

In many instances, a MBA doesn't carry the weight as it used to. MBAs hardly innovate in terms of creation, invention, and general creativity. There are exceptions, of course. Engineers and designers who take a MBA are good exceptions.

This is coming from a guy who studied accounting and economics, took the GMATs and was ready to do b-school until I realized a MBA is a waste of my time. MBA is good if you want to climb whole corporate ladder but not necessary for other creative outlets. I'm also a CPA candidate.

I'm a software engineer / entrepreneur.

It's those damn smartphones/tablets, people are used to trading up now. Car features almost fit the same "gadget" mentality.

I see you have a 10 series Mush, aren't your LEDs more of a bright white? I hope the Monogram is the same; don't see why not.
