Unfortunately, while I was doing it the steering wheel came off the shaft splines. The wheel spun freely and broke the clock spring. Put it back on the spline as best I could but the wheel was definitely not straight. Had an ABS, traction control, and airbag light on. Replaced the clock spring and got an alignment (they said it was within the spec of an alignment fixing), and had the steering sensor recalibrated and the car steers straight, no airbag light, but abs and traction control light still on.

In this thread: the poster shows something similar and said they had the dealer reset the sensor and that worked. But I’m nervous that having had Firestone (have lifetime alignments with them) reset the sensor and that didn’t fix anything, that this isn’t the issue. One shop said it may be that the wheel needs to come off again and reposition it back on the spline properly, and that while the wheels may be straight, the shaft and everything under there isn’t proper and so the sensor will always read that something is off.

Selling my turnkey K24A2 Swapped BRZ. This used to be Kpower's development car, which was built in house. I bought it with the intention of keeping it long term, but I'd rather have the cash currently to put away for my family.

I've owned this car since February '26. I used it as a daily driver/commuter. I go 3x a week to work, about 60-70mi total travel each day, 0 hiccups. Some minor cosmetic damage such as bumper sag and a spot on the passenger side front fender that I had to use touch up paint for. Other than that, the car is very clean.

On my 2011 Rav4 if you go behind the glovebox to where the tire system's control box is and take a wire splicer and connect a hot lead to the output wire it will "fool" the system into thinking all the sensors are working even if they aren't. Event Format: Arrive around 6:45pm-7:15pm in the parking lot (meet will always go until at least 10pm so it's ok to show up late). The builder turned down the compression from stock compression to 9.5:1 without even consulting me. I believe this is a big drop in compression.

After receiving my engine, I reassembled the other parts and put the engine back in the car. My vehicle won't start but it does crank with the RPMs jumping around 350 when it's trying. There's a smell of gas from the exhaust, compression tests are fine, spraying starter fluid down the charge pipe doesnt work, splashed the fuel tank with fresh 93, crank sensor plate is installed correctly, battery is charged, ground wires are correct.

When cranking, sometimes a little rumble can be heard like it's about to start but that's it. I believe the problem is that the engine is running far too rich to even start because the vehicle was previously tuned for 93 on stock compression with the supercharger.

All things considered, I believe my option moving forward is to flash the ECU to a tune that could better accomodate the lowered compression. What options do I have? It was tuned with ECUTek prior. I would like to keep the license and I dont want to tow the car. I own no tuning equipment and I dont know anybody who does.

But when the parts fiche says supersession:[part number] does that mean the part number is the old superceded part or the part number of the new replacement?


Just been given the wrong part number yet again by my local dealer, and I need to give them the number of the new part, and specify I want exactly that.


In this case I ordered a new serp belt tensioner, and asked for 23769AA110 as per this parts fiche:

But I got given part 23769AA111, which doesn't fit.


However if I look at the parts fiche for the forester, the 2 parts appear interchangeable:

Does it mean the current part is 23769AA040, and the old part is23769AA110, or is it the other way around?

Not sure if i've just got the obvious answer of air in the system and need to bleed more, or it's just a quirk of these cars. Problem is the coolant level at the radiator filler cap always seems a bit low - I top it off to the brim of the filler neck, but after a drive and cool down the level drops by an inch or so. If I stick my pinky in the opening, there's half an inch or so of coolant there. This is probably roughly level with the top of the return hose. I just don't see where the air is coming from.


Background: 2015 BRZ. No issues until now (car never used much coolant if any), so time for a routine coolant change.


Followed the shop manual pages on how to bleed, all seemed to go well. Coolant at the bleed nipple by the firewall. Did the usual revving to 3000rpm x6 within 45seconds, and no level drop. However then did the second part and let the car warm up until the radiator fan kicks on and off a few times, and when the car's cooled again, there's the little bit of a level drop.


I decided to buy one of the no-leak funnel kits, and used that, letting the motor fully warm up, fan cycled a few times, got a few bubbles out. However I still get the level drop after going for a drive, or leaving the car overnight to cool down.


So should I expect the coolant level to drop a little bit like this, or should it be right at the filler cap brim?


When the car warms up the level in the overflow reservoir goes up a bit as expected, and then drops a bit when it cools down - as expected. If the system is sucking a bit of coolant back through the overflow pipe like it should, I just don't see where this air gap is coming from.

P0016 codes.

After doing some research on this it seems like the next step would be to replace the ECU.
