Thank goodness for this thread. I just installed MCA traction mod II, STi rear trailing arms, and Whiteline KDT922 bushings, and the car feels great!

That's not "gapping" a plug. Plugs are gapped by thousands of an inch. IE, small enough that you're sliding in spark plug gapping tools to measure it.

That looks like a straight up failed plug....

I’d be easier to just strip the chassis and stitch weld it where needed. Modern cars are pretty stout already though. I don’t really see a need.

Somewhat common on this car, the lug studs aren't the strongest. Can swap to stronger studs (arp etc). I also use a touch of antiseize (a really minimal amount) and hand torque.
