While Orido still is in racing world, he still maintaining the skills. I'll say currently, they're even. BUT I gotta say Tsuchiya have better braking skill than Orido. Orido have better steering wheel/handling skill than Tsuchiya. I think, that came from where they start racing. Both started out w AE86, but Tsuchiya went from grass race, N2 and so on. While Orido started out from gymkhana and move into grass race, ikaten, and so on.

I think I speak truth when I say Gan-San > All the newer drivers. :)

No, no, no. Gan-san have 100x more balls than any Japanese pro driver.

That's why football and basketball require only one ball. :bellyroll::bellyroll: because racing takes all the balls.

Anyone with photoshop skills want to try using the clear shell and coloring in the clear panels with paint to see what it would look like.

tranzformer 05-10-2011 02:19 AM

I personally wouldn't mind something like this either from Subaru:

I highly doubt Subaru would do a R4, but I thought the rendering/photoshop was an interesting idea.

current status, true... but Subie is making their first FR car, so it's possible to see that layout down in the future (when we're too old to drive :bellyroll:)

I'll take FMR over R4 anyday.

Sure I would take FMR over R4, but I would probably take RMR over FMR. But for a AWD car I would probably prefer R4 over F4.

Why would you prefer an R4 over and F4?

Are you meaning the R4 is Rear engine, 4WD?

If so Subaru does in fact make one.

Most people dont know due to the fact they havnt sold any new here in my country for years or only tend to be sold in Japan.
They have been making them for a very long time.
The 4WD Samba light vans/utes and the Old Domingo vans, are 4wd rear engined.
The domingo was a 3 cylinder inline based on the Justy engine. The samba I dont know if i 3 or 4 cylinder inline.

Both also come in Rear engined RWD aswell.

We were talking about cars, specifically sports cars, and not vans.

If it looks like that rendering from the Road and Track link I am getting it, end of story. Even if i have to sell the kids for scientific experiments to afford it, well lets face it they wont fit in the back even if they are both under 6 years old :)

+1... And an FMR over an RMR too. More practical, feels better IMO.

Hahaha. Sounds like you are the one not thinking wise ass, he said in reverse

Laika 06-27-2011 12:23 AM

Precisely! the world of reverse drifting is a virtually untapped area of the motorsport industry. It's only a matter of time...

I kid I kid...but when I had an MR2 I'd swear at least once every couple months someone asked me if it was front wheel drive. There were probably 5 mid engine front wheel drive cars ever (and they were almost all FMF). I never understood why anyone would even guess that it'd be front wheel drive.

seriously?...just.....seriously....are you trolling me...is this real life?

oh say you have a FF....you go in reverse...can you drift?...
oh say you have a RF...you go in reverse ...can you drift?..

fact of the matter...your DRIVE WHEELS are still the same as your STEERING INPUT...regardless where the engine is located... FF=RF

just popping it into reverse wont suddenly make your car a drift car..its not drifting...its called dog tracking...which is no different than a vehicle with rear steering, but with the added retardedness of static wheels up front (AKA REAR WHEELS LEADING)

Driving sideways is different from sliding sideways..

aka NOT DRIFTING..my retarded 2 second diagram

bigbcraig 06-27-2011 11:53 AM

Ya'll crack me up.

Theoretically with enough power a rear steering vehicle could 'drift', spinning their wheels as they dog track, but the only things that are rear-steering are what, forklifts and a few other miscellaneous things? So noone's really ever tried. I'd expect it to b every hard to control. I can't really think about it without my breakign out into laughter about the concept of an RF setup anyway. Perhaps FMF, like a saab sonnet (i think)? but yeah lets stick to good ol' FR/FMR with the FT.

The above is clear evidence that we need new photos, videos, stats, or something to talk about..

ichitaka05 06-27-2011 04:49 PM

If you have FWD, just do FWD drift LOL

Yeah, if Honda went the RWD, it would silence a lot of critics.

Civic coupe with a F20
[u2b]smYeplkf5Jc[/u2b]
[u2b]FW8ndinvv5k[/u2b]

RWD Del Sol
[u2b]nHO5HDebjtA[/u2b]

EG with an F20
[u2b]NgS93jelnzo[/u2b]

ichitaka05 06-27-2011 10:23 PM

Yeah seriously. They really would shut tons of critics.

I do like FR EK9.

Here is the Del Sol conversion! FF converted to a MR but a lot of fabrication!
