Not yet, I'm 17. To me the Wrangler just doesn't make for a good daily driver because of the high profile and lack of refinement. It really gets irritating after a while. Not to mention the 12mpg....

Anthony 08-04-2013 02:38 AM

You trying to turn the Wrangler into an 86 or just have both?

rebelyell22 08-04-2013 02:44 AM

Not sure yet... I guess it just depends on what I can afford. I'm really wanting a WRB or DGM BRZ Limited but the closest dealership is Jim Keras in Memphis so I haven't seen one yet. The extra space the 86 has will really come in handy when I go to college next year too.

Anthony 08-04-2013 02:52 AM

Eh, distance isn't a thing. My car is finally shipping from Utah on Tuesday.

I'll be at the Olive Branch Airport during the regular school year and Senatobia during the summer. I'm going through their aviation maintenance technology program.

Man I only go to the comfort suites in Olive Branch because I work there and that's it! I don't usually go past there! Hacks is like a couple miles after that!

ohnoimcaught 08-05-2013 05:31 PM

A first86 buyer? Is that a group on Facebook or something?

jwSubMOA 08-09-2013 05:08 AM

Howdy yall! Tupelo/Belden area here. Got my WRB Limited BRZ about 2 months ago from Jim Keras in Memphis. I currently have 1371 miles and I love this car. I am an amputee ( lost left arm right leg) and this is one of my toys. I want to go to the 86Nationals in Louisville but I cannot move my folding wheelchair from the trunk nor put it back in. I am considdring towing my BRZ to the meet, lol.

2013 BRZ Limited
Perrin intake tube
Perrin cold air intake
Perrin resonated 2.5 inch cat back.
Perrin catless front pipe
Perrin over pipe.
Revworks UEL header (AWESOME)
Grimmspeed hood shocks
Hotchkiss strut bar
Flossy big red with STI logo for auto
Center console armrest
6000k headlight bulbs
Forester foglights with 6000k bulbs
Setrab 16 row oil cooler
225/40-17 Neogen tires on stock wheels
Perrin Ecutek and tune.

Hope to see you guys sometime!

Anthony 08-09-2013 05:51 AM

Sounds like you should just start a build thread if you've already got all that.

Silent_Dan 08-09-2013 07:47 PM

@jwSubMOA Is there any way I can check out those headers on your car.

I'm thinking about getting a set of those headers.

mjsivee 08-09-2013 09:02 PM

I got the Rev Rorks UEL header too, with Motiv overpipe, Motiv high flowcat, and HKS LEGAMAX Premium Exhaust, with Greddy Air Intake, if you want to check that out too. Just Helping out another fellow FRS owner one day at a time..

Silent_Dan 08-09-2013 09:51 PM

I'd like to hear it catted to.

Would you actually need it to be catted, or are you just curious about the sound?

Silent_Dan 08-10-2013 08:14 AM

Just curious about how it sounds both ways.

I will be catted when I do headers.

jwSubMOA 08-10-2013 06:50 PM

Sure just let me know when you want to get together.

There were about 3,000 people who signed up with Scion in January 2012 to be one of the first buyers of the FR-S. Out of the 3,000 people Scion drew names of 86 people. We all received a expense paid trip to LA, toured Toyota headquarters, went to the season opening drift race in Long Beach CA and received our cars in May 2012, one month before the general public.

Oh wow. That'll be a story for the grandkids.

Whiteout in picayune

missippipyledrvr 08-19-2013 09:20 PM

If there are any meets in south miss hit me up please

Anthony 08-20-2013 03:25 AM

We'll probably have to be proactive about meets.

southern_86 08-22-2013 05:13 PM

Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while and stumbled onto this thread so I decided to join. Add me to the list I'm in purvis (Hattiesburg) with an argento FR-S.

@mjsivee @missippipyledrvr @southern_86, if ya'll would like to have a small casual meet in December, I would be down for that. I'll be home, and by then we'll probably have a few more people in our area speak up. Plus there's a ton of people in the NOLA area that might would be interested in driving over.

I'm thinking something laid back and casual, mostly for the sake of just meeting each other. Maybe meet at a restaurant or on the beach, possibly eat, talk for a while, take some pictures, then go for a drive or something.

southern_86 08-23-2013 09:37 AM

I would definitely be down for a meet. Me and some friends are usually at the Saturday night meets at sonic on Lorraine Cowan as well if anyone is interested in that.

Anthony 08-23-2013 09:40 AM

Haha wow, I didn't know Sonic still happened. I thought that died out in like 2009. I'd be fine with that.

southern_86 08-23-2013 12:05 PM

Yeah its still kicking. A couple of weeks ago we had sonic so full they called the cops in to get cars moved lol. About half of the gas station next door was full as well, I have yet to see any other 86's there though.

Anthony 08-23-2013 12:18 PM

Oh wow. Sounds like it hasn't lost any steam. I've never been to a car night at that Sonic though, just the ones in Ocean Springs and Biloxi, which I don't think happen anymore. Or at least not in Ocean Springs. I used to see some crazy shit at those fiascoes. Brand new Corvettes driving into poles and shit. Good times.

mjsivee 08-23-2013 01:02 PM

Yea I would def be down for a meet in December or something... Just let me know whats up...

userjack6880 08-27-2013 02:10 AM
