Destiny Raid Groups/ General Discussion
 

Hey all. Since Destiny just came out, thought it would be a great time to post a general thread for the game. Could be anything from meeting in lobbies, running main story objectives, PvP, and raid groups. Originally, I wanted to create a resource that would make finding a raid group easier since being a friend online is a requirement. This might as well be a meeting place, as well as general discussion.

So with that said:

Just picked up the game this afternoon. So far, seems pretty awesome. Been playing Titanfall for the last couple weeks (just got an Xbox One). Going to be tough choosing which one to play now.

Stop doing the Gamertag/PSN thing it's confusing as f*ck lol. If you're on PS4 call it your PSN. If you're on Xbox call it your gamertag. Saves you having to type which console you're on

True. Thought about that. Unfortunately, Xbox One is not cross-plat with Xbox 360. Same for PS4 and PS3. I guess you can assume that people have next-gen over previous, but you never know.

I hit lvl 7 yesterday, stopped after getting our butts stomped in the zone control type map.

I do like that your weapons persist from campaign, the charge rifle is nice.

I'm level 11 at the moment. Going to try to rush through all the moon missions tonight. After that my friends and I will probably do some multiplayer. You are all welcome to join.

To my fellow hunters the hand cannon dominates once you get used to it. You switch to it much faster from the sniper than a rifle too.

You use the same weapons but level and gear is balanced on general pvp. I believe Iron Banner allows any and all advantages that you have gained for level or gear though, and no balancing is applied.

Level 7 right now, working towards Bladedancer.

It's definitely an improvement over the Beta. I used to use scout rifles but they seem to have nerfed them and I feel like I'm much more efficient with a hand cannon now.

Haven't quite decided if I want to go hunter or warlock. Really enjoyed warlock but bladedancer sounds awesome in hunter.

I know it's more work, but we should really be separating the consoles for their respective generations since this game is on PS3/PS4 and XBone/360 and there are really 4 separate groups of players who can play together.

I'm on PS4 if you wanna update the list

I think the better idea would be to just let it go and then laugh at people that are still on an old console. :iono:

Really though, I have no problem updating it. It's not hard work at all, really.

Makes me wanna get a ps4 since everyone's on it o.O

PS4 is much better than Xbox this generation. And I was a die-hard xbox fan

Not only is the hardware more capable on the PS4, but it also has simpler ease-of-use/user interface, and has better "small touches" (the controller displays the predominant color on the screen, the light bar on the console does the same with breathing, it is virtually silent, is less 'finicky')

If I were to make a comparison to cars, I would say the PS4 is more like the twins - sophisticated, grown up, but MORE than capable of handing what you want from it - and the xbox is a doge challenger - not great to look at, has a poor interface and refinement, and is less refined - focused more towards pure fun than an all around a good gaming experience.

And before I get the flames, I have spent 10+ hrs on an Xbone

I got ps4 for 2 reasons. Tekken and GT series. That being saids I'm still waiting on better price drop on xb1 for forza gears and halo. Maybe this black friday
