Pretty sure that your standard tips are better than the standard FR-S tips. Standard is on the left for 2013MY. I still clean them regardless, but, that's me and not necessarily the majority.

I think that it might have something to do with the type of tips that you have. The original OEM ones weren't as noticeable to me as the tips that I replaced them with. Mine are DC Sports EX-1013's...

The only thing that the Cube beats the FR-S in is cargo capacity. Even the auto FR-S beats a Cube. And the Cube comes pretty close to Aztec level of ugliness.
