It has attracted too many people that think 'driving it like you stole it' is what the car was made to do. If you buy used from a private party you will at least have the opportunity to see the owner and form an opinion on how the car was treated.

Funny, but true. If there is even a hint of rice about the car that would also be a warning sign. On a positive note, that means there will be lots of parts in the junkyards in a few years. ETA: My AT has the pump chirp, but I could not care less about it. Klotz Uplon or E-free gas shuts them up.
