If you guys have the time i recommend hitting the observatory. It's a fun little road. I like 130 heading to alum rock. Unfortunately i have to head back to Stockton after the junction. Will be going back to observatory to show the gf the view at a later date.

Zen86 pretty much summed it up right there.

Right outside the park before we start mines rd there is a spot where, if we squeeze it right, we can all line up for a big group photo. This, and the overall route will be discussed at the drivers meeting, and I will have handouts to give all drivers. We will have more experienced drivers who know the route to lead the way and make sure no one gets lost.

You can also hang a left at the junction to head back to the valley.

If anyone is interested, I may head back via Patterson Pass road (by the Wind farm), or Corral Hollow Rd (near the off-road park) back into the valley rather than the road via Del Puerto Cyn road that is the 'left at the junction'. I am not sure that I can make the extra time to get back from Patterson where Del Puerto joins the valley/hwy 5.

Just an idea, we can chat at the meet if you are interested in an abbreviated, non-freeway ride back to the valley.

I did find a few more Hot Wheels of the FR-S, I will bring a total of 9 so far. (right now, its kinda funny being the old dude scouring the Hot Wheels aisle for one certain model)
