Everyone knows what it's like driving this car without the ESC. As long as you keep the RPMs between 5000 and 7500 the car feels pretty lively. But if you step on the gas it takes forever to get into the power zone. But once you're there everything is good.
Bring in the ESC and it fills that low end torque problem and you are quickly into the power zone.
But once in the power zone the ESC doesn't really contribute that much anymore because the boost tapers off but you're still using valuable battery current with less effect.
Maybe it would be a good idea to set a RPM limit that shuts off the ESC when it becomes less efficient. That way the batteries will be charging and ready for the next gearshift.


I don't know. Just a thought.

You need the ESC working otherwise it will be a major restriction at higher engine airflow levels. You would be getting 160 at redline instead of 215 if you then the ESC off.

Doesn't really seem fair to the other people that have been waiting longer. The spot on the list isn't really a tradeable/sellable item. No money has exchanged hands with Rob so its not like he is buying your preorder off you.

Anyways its not my place to comment...I'll leave it up to Rob but i'm pretty sure he will agree with me. If you dont want to be on the list he will simply move everyone up a slot.

Now if money did change hands i would totally agree you could sell your spot.

On another note....my youtube channel is nearing 200k views Wonder how many there would be if i ever did proper editing like @Sojhinn lol.

Apparently word gets around though, there are people from all walks of life contacting me about it...one of my friends said people were even talking about it on some Corolla forum

OK then, here's your challenge. You are formally invited to come down the MAP Proving Grounds at B.I.R. (generally in June at Brainerd Intl. Raceway, MN) this coming year and show off. There are many events available for you to display the increased performance, drifting, autocross, road course and drags, the choice is yours.

Wow would I love to but unfortunately that is just way to far away. We use to have a track here but it closed down last year.

My spare time is usually reserved for family and my new daughter (4months old).

I'm sire that there will be some phantom owners that could come maybe though? Raven did you ever get to the track?

I did sir but it was embarrassing ... Phantom 1.5 running the E85 tune on stock tires was a mess. I couldn't get traction for the life of me. I literally spun tires halfway down the track. Once It hooked I pulled on a modified foxbody and destroyed my buddies rx8. I was planning on going back and borrowing a buddies set of wheels from his RX8 but then I got burglarized... I was only able to get two runs in as well and hadn't had any time to practice launching, damn city driving.

With that said I have no doubt in my mind if I was able to put that power to the ground from the start and hook that she could have very likely seen 13.7-13.9 et

He will PM people with all the details including batteries required. The batteries are purchased separately but are pretty cheap.

Everyone running the kit should have some means of tuning....only open map available is shiv's for open flash tablet. This is the preferred tuning as it has the most r and d put into it with regards to the phantom. The open flash tablet gets you up to date tune for 91, 93 and e85. Its a helluva deal.

Ecutek tuners can tune you as well...they will charge you separately.
