The fact that many responding were building cars before he was born and a few before his parents were born means he just won't believe us. We were all that way once. Now when a group with several HUNDRED years combined experience and expertise tell me something I listen but there was a day I would have said "what do you old guys know anyway". Although it was much harder back in the day when you had to ask such questions in person to just keep trying to find that one person with the answer you wanted to hear instead of what you needed to hear.

I can't fathom taking care of my car properly if I had to worry about gas prices.. what about the $80 oil change every 3k miles? $1200 in tires so you can stay on the road? Brakes that can compete with the acceleration so you don't rear end someone?
Get a motorcycle or something
