No worries. Just ordered an Asus 290x. Let the mining begin!

I'm guessing if I ordered 2 290x, I won't get 900x2 kilohashes. How many hashes do you get if you run 2 cards, 3 cards, etc?

Depending on the card, and how the bios is setup, you can get close to the same hashing power on both... both my 7950's do 640khash be it single or both on the same rig.

I have one slow system (on new parts). All cards are the same.

Also. I had a 290x for a few days. It was more like 850khash but I didn't tweak it much either

My 270x get 420-430 each on most. 380 ish on another couple on the slow system.

Cost about a third of 290x

Assuming retail 280x is the amazing card. Which is why it has $100 markup

I still haven't found a way boost my 7970s to 750... They're both sitting at about 640.

I think I'm going to try changing drivers again... Nothing else has seemed to work...

Cancelled my 290x order and ordered 2 280x instead. Better hash/$. I'll be limited to 2 video cards for now unless I upgrade my PSU.

I think I froze my cards last night...

I have the computer at a window with a box fan. I let it run for a bit and saw it was running a bit hot, so I opened the window and turned the fan on. It was -3F outside and after about 10 minutes I noticed that one of the cards was running it's fan at a very high speed... I turned on my monitor and checked, and both cards read 0 degrees and were hashing at like 10KHs. One Fan was at 100rpm, the other was at 4100 rpm...

Needless to say, I'm regulating the heat now, and everything is running smooth. But my room is really freaking cold...

Hmm... I'll need a bigger PSU to run more than 2 cards.

I have a Seasonic 1000w Platinum running four 7950s. It seems to do just fine.

I tried the Litecoin BAMT and have had some issues. I think I am going to try and put together a Xubuntu build on a USB3 flash drive.

I've undervolted all of them to 1.081v and cards three and four slow down after a little bit. None of them make it above 80C. Is it a config issue or a power issue? I forgot to check my KillAWatt when I noticed that issue.
