Thanks! It is static cling film that goes on with soapy water... I could take it off in a couple seconds without any residue...
@eastendraceshop What splitter is that? It looks custom. (and looks like what I want...)

Today I installed a new sway bar link to replace the one I had to destroy so I could install my front left strut. The new one seems to be an improved design. The washer is pressed on and has flat edges so I can use a wrench to hold it when the hex wrench gets stripped next time.
Installed: Of course something has to go wrong every time I work on my car and tonight was no different. A stud decided to snap while removing the front left wheel. The others broke loose and spun freely, but this one just got harder and harder to turn until it just snapped > I don't understand why it snapped. I always thread the nuts on by hand, so it shouldn't have been cross threaded. The lug nuts were torqued to 89 foot pounds as per the manual. |

Second off, I'll betcha that that stud you twisted off, was on the last lug nut that you took off - SMH - refer to "taking off wheels for dummies" book. (I'm jest ah messen wich ya) humfrz |

As for the wheel, my procedure was: 1. Break lugs loose in diagonal pattern while the car was on the ground 2. Lift car, remove nuts 3. All nuts unscrewed easily by hand at first, then the third one started getting kinda tough, so I skipped it and moved on to the others 4. Go back to the third one and it keeps getting harder and harder to turn until it finally snaps Does anyone know what size stud these cars take? |
