I would definitely put them in the correct spot. The primary o2 is what tells the engine how its running, and the secondary checks to make sure the cat is doing what its supposed to be doing. having them swapped is not a good idea

Let me restate what I said just to make sure I am clear and not causing any confusion

the "secondary" o2 sensor is sitting in the front pipe right after the HFC. Currently with the o2 spacer being used.

The "primary" o2 sensor is still in the borla header, but its sitting in the hole on the side of the header and not the hole that would be facing the front of the car. That hold on the front of the header is plugged up.

If both o2 sensors are in the header, then its a sure CEL since my only CAT is in the front pipe.

you need to put the primary towards the front of car header hole, and put the other + an 02 spacer on the side header hole

with the 02 spacer you dont need a cat, and you wont get a cel

So all the cash I paid for this shop to put the 2nd o2 behind the cat was all a waste? How depressing.

I know you are happy with the unichip, but honestly you should get a real tune. Sell your unichip and buy an openflash tablet...disable the CEL...and make way more power.

OP, do you know how your shop went about relocating your secondary O2 sensor? Did they have to extend the wires? I was thinking about going this route, but leaving the primary O2 sensor where it was.

While you definitely should pull the code to be sure, I'm hoping your CEL is being caused by the primary O2 sensor not being in the right spot.

If you have the secondary sensor, I'd remove the spacer. It's not needed if you extended the wires to the secondary O2 in the front pipe. (In theory)

The wires had to be extended for the secondary o2 to be placed behind the HFC on the front pipe.

Thanks everyone for the advise so far. I will go out today and try to get the code and report back later with the results. Hopefully once I have that it will be a clearer decision on what to do next.
