LOL - in a movie trailer voice:
In a world, where most car enthusiasts would gladly pay to shorten their antennas... one man ... dares to take a different path.

This morning, I get this from her:

Yes, its a coupon to rent out T-hill for a whole day! FT86 trackday anyone?! Half joking/serious, there is even a $7,350 option for a 25 car private event (~$290 per car, which is pretty much the price of a trackday)
i wonder if you could leave that option on the table on saturday to see how many people would be interested. If we get 25 ppl (does not have to be all 86s) the price is pretty awesome for the whole day!

Like I mentioned, interested in it, but only half serious/half joking, I wouldn't want to be the one organizing (as anyone who's been to one of my gokarting meets can attest to ), but if anybody wants to be the lead, you can take my money lol

Looked into it a little bit more:

Quote:
Thunderhill Raceway will provide General Liability Insurance; insurance does not cover owner’s vehicle and does not cover any medical costs that may occur in case of injury. In the case of using a Thunderhill Raceway vehicle, driver is responsible for any and all damage, including total loss of the vehicle
So seems like a typical trackday, with general liability insurance most likely for track damage, etc, but damage to own car and medical as a personal responsibility. I'd assume they would provide the track workers, ambulane/EMT, etc?

It's so funny to watch people when I wear my 86drive t-shirt. Everyone stares at it trying to figure it out.

The guy at Peets almost forgot my pastry because he was trying to figure out my shirt. He said "I know that's the FR-S, but what are the other two?" I told him BRZ and Toyota 86 and he was like "But the BRZ and FR-S are the same car". I tried to explain it but he ended up looking more confused.
