Post a picture of the coil wire if you get it. I still need to wire mine in. Right now its just wired up as a wideband for the ecm.

Will do. Looks like the car won't be going into the shop until next week so should have some time to play around with it this week. @AZFA20, does the gauge need to be configured for 2 revolutions for every signal?

Before I go into tapping one of the coils leading into the ECU harness, has anyone else actually used @AZFA20 method with the AEM fail safe with seamless success, and no worries about messing up the ECU/motor?

Don't have the funds burning a hole my my pocket to be a pioneer here...

How long did you guys set the alarm delay? I keep getting false alarms when tipping in the throttle after an upshift when the AFR jumps to 18:1 for a split second. I currently have it set at 550ms.

I don't think that is a delay issue, that is a setting issue. I would not worry about setting any alarms prior to the gauge seeing boost. If you are indeed seeing 18:1 at 1 psi, then I would work on your tune and your tip in enrichment.

I think the problem is with the alarm delay setting because when I release the throttle for an upshift, AFR jumps to 18:1 and when I tip in the throttle, AFR is still at 18:1 before it goes back down.

I can't set the alarm threshold higher than 18:1 at 0 boost because the next setting adjustment is at 0.3 bar (4.35 psi). If I set it at 18:1 at 0 boost, the threshold will be sloping down to whatever I set it at 0.3 bar (11.7 in my case). That means I won't get any alarms from 0-4 psi.

It has been awhile since I messed with my AEM Failsafe, so I forgot the resolution is that poor. I still think your tip in enrichment could be improved in your tune, but if you don't want to see that alarm then go ahead and up the delay till you don't see it anymore. You really only want it alarming you when there is clearly something wrong, not border line wrong, which would mean more than a second worth of unsafe AFR/PSI.
