If it is taking too much effort to break loose a bolt that is ordinarily torqued at about (say) 40 lb/ft, then STOP and try the penetrating spray before going any further.
.......and if that don't work ...... apply heat ........

Yeah, I can see that. I've wanted it to work many times but I always end up grabbing the breaker bar. :/

If you don't have a breaker bar, a dead blow works too. Be sure to put pressure on your wrench before using the hammer though and understand this is horrible for your socket wrench.

Actually, I've had some luck with this. Never with a ratchet but I'll beat the hell out of a box end. Maybe 1/10 I'm in a situation where I can get a good swing. :/

I find this a useful addition to the old tool box.

POW ..... with a BFH and either it comes lose ..... or buggers it up to the point where you have to chisel it off ....

Mine isn't great either. Send like the ones big enough to survive the impact are too big to twist off

im happy your learning to work on your own vehicle, it saves you money and obviously give you a sense of pride you know you worked on your own car. stripping a drain bolt is uncommon but it happens to anyone. while installing my turbo kit, i admit i suck with brass fitting i can say i stripped 3 fittings and almost needed to replace my timing chain cover. luckily i had the right tool to remove the stripped fitting.

I'm pretty sure that you need the F-108 for the FRS/BRZ and not the F-106.
