well naturally there are higher ups in these car companies who have a family and being human, they'll have friends too. and if youre into cars and know these ppl and they tell you info, where do you think they'll spread the news? ding ding! that's right the internet. and more specifically, car forums on the internet.

You are literally the second person to post BMW in this thread with that post but ok.

I seem to recall a post claiming that the BMW/Toyota collaboration was NOT a Supra but can't seem to find it. Which I was taking to mean that the Mirai is either BMW/Toyota or Supra, not both and possibly neither. But since I can't find the article guess I'm the crazy one

If you think it is the LFA II, it isn't either, BMW will not build any supercar/hypercar. The Lexus LF-LC is to be based on the next generation LS. The LF-LS could be the SC successor and even be called SC. I just don't see what other car BMW/Toyota would be. Next generation GT86 without Subaru? Way too early.

Hey all, ok so just wanted to clear the air — we received the info on the Mirai at the end of 2013 from a reputable source that's about right 99% of the time when it comes to leaks and such, thus the gallery with a PLACEHOLDER image (not an actual teaser). We also wrote an article with the trademark mentioned as well.

Anyways, we'll be in Detroit so whatever this new thing is we'll have live coverage of it. I'll keep you guys up to date if we get anything new. http://news.boldride.com/2014/01/toy...e-works/42220/

Nobody knows what the Mirai is.

The BMW/Toyota sports car collab is likely in the $60k-$90k price range, competitive with Corvette, GTR, base 911, etc. Safe money is on it featuring a hybrid powertrain.

The words 'Supra successor' have only been thrown about by press and fans, it may not apply to the Mirai OR the Toyota/BMW collaboration.

I guess you're saying to collaboration will be a Lexus LF-LS? I admit ignorance about the Lexus lineup, I never bothered to pay attention and I never implied it would be an 'LFA2', only that the BMW collaboration is likely this Mirai concept.

Didn't realize the gran turismo car was the Mirai which seems to have emerged over the past week, my bad. Figured they were different since you started a seperate thread about it.
