I take such good care of my things, and always get affected by outside circumstances. Just annoying.
bumpers aren't going to have a significant effect on resale. just keep the receipts, and be ready to explain it to anyone interested.

as long as it's not totaled, it's easy to sell at standard prices-- people check current condition, not what it was at any past point.

just remember-- it's a car, and it's transportation. the only way to not incur damage on it is to never drive it. but a transportation item that's too valuable to drive is no longer transportation. it's an art piece. this cars primary attribute is it's driving characteristics, so it will never be a great art piece.

enjoy the car, accept the wrath, rebuild, rinse, repeat.

So I push the code with some other irrelevant changes I'm still working on. The coworker immediately starts critiquing everything instead of focusing on the thing I'm actually having trouble with.
2. Later on once they realize they did way more than I asked for, they suggested simplifying this one thing. So I tried it but the code wouldn't work because it currently expects the non simplified version. So I messaged them saying that and should I update it to expect the simpler thing. Their response was "we just need to simplify that and don't need to do what you're saying."

I literally already did this and instead of trying to understand what I tried they literally repeat the thing I said I already tried that didn't work.
Send him one of these " "

At least the guy let you know. Out here in Cali, they won't bother letting you know in person or by a letter. If anything, they will act like they're writing a note on a piece of paper and leave a blank note on your windshield just in case anyone was watching them.
Ah you mean like when this happened to me a couple jobs ago:

The guy never got in trouble and I constantly found new dents in the rear bumper. I'd walk past him after driving past him to park and he never apologized or anything.

Even worse when it's someone in the same job as you. But yeah, I remember that.

That's definitely a good use case for text chat. Funny how that was the original intent of email. I still refuse to put a stupid signature in my email. Look at the damn header, FFS.

We have an auto signature at work, I despise it. I'll go down and edit it sometimes for funzies. I hate having a job title in it or our company directory.

Random Thoughts - Part III The Search for Spark (No Politics)

While working from home, my 2yo child wanted to play GT7, so turn on the PS5 & let her play around. She needed help buying a car & few mods. In the end came out like this

Bulb eye STI, wide body w few aero kits & Enkei RC-G4 wheels. Paint em in purple & neon yellow calipers. She couldn’t decide on what color to paint the wheels, so left it as is. I don’t care much for purple car… but must say, not a bad color coordination for a 2yo.

Btw she chose STI over Supra, CTR, Nismo R32 or Evo V.
