Toyota Techstream on BRZ?

Has anyone tried to use the Toyota Techstream on a BRZ? I mean not on Generic OBD II, but in full use of the software?

Yes. Everything that worked on the FRS worked on the BRZ, although I didn't mess with the DRL settings at all.

What he said. Techstream automatically recognizes the car as an FRS. There are some ECU versions that will not like DRL's being turned off (I think it kills the high beams). So far, other than looking at different engine parameters, I've only turned off the seatbelt chime for the drivers seat (for the times I wear a harness while autocrossing).

I didn't have the option to do any of the chimes, passenger seat weight warning, etc when I played with mine last night. Did I miss a step to allow me to access those features you guys know about?

I'm not familiar with it, but are you able to turn on airbags using techstream if you are using aftermarket seats?

Usually you have to put a resistor in the stock seat harness so that the car thinks those airbags are operational. Haven't seen the details for doing it in this car though.

Wow, working at a Toyota dealer, I thought Having the Techstream would be one advantage of owning an FR-S, I guess not. Mechanical parts would also be the same, so the only thing that would push me away from the BRZ Limited is the outrageous mark-ups that I hope would be gone when it's time to buy on december.
