I'll take quirky and aggressive over boring and safe like the new Legacy/WRX/STI.

Funny how 10 years ago we were calling Subaru the company with quirky but aggressive designs and now everything coming out is meh...

that new render...... reminds me of the boxy Sentra from the early 90s

I'm not sure if that's good memories or bad ones.

I don't think it'll do well, they will be the only ones doing retro by the time this thing comes out...

if it looks like that it'll be channeling the S13, if it has a proper manual and turbocharged 4 it'll be a real contender.

which will drive the S-chassis crowd wild, now that unmolested 240's are getting harder and harder to find.

add in competitive pricing with the ZN6 and this little Nissan will do just fine

also if they use the plucky little MR16DDT from the juke they could call it the 160sx for nostalgia's sake.

At 57:00 Jose Munoz, Chairman Nissan North America, says the freeflow IDx could be built off the Rogue platform if put into production. Last I checked the Rogue was FWD mated to a CVT transmission. If this is the direction Nissan is considering with this car then they've already lost and shouldn't even bring it out. Honestly the more I hear from Nissan about the IDx the more interested I become in the Kia GT4 Stinger (30:32). At least Kia's engineers are talking about pure driving RWD performance and not some crowd sourced BS car for kids who don't like driving. Sad because I really liked the NISMO version....
