Part of me feels sorry for people that actually believe salesmen when they feed them that bullshit.

It's like the people that believe their salesman when they tell them they are getting a really rare car because of some factory add-ons. They aren't unique anymore. It's not like when my dad was a kid, and certain dealerships got certain options, so some options were only available is certain areas of the country. Now THOSE cars were rare. Now every option is available at every dealership in this country. Now, if the car isn't rare right from the start, it isn't rare.

Exactly. -I started cracking up at this kid. Altho I should probably be nicer since he's probably only 17 or 18.
Dealerships will say anything, it's a little sad...the guy at my dealership kept kissing my ass, it was rather annoying. I just wanted to tell him to stop, I'm going to buy the car regardless.

Wait, you mean I don't really own a COPO BRZ? lol

I'd like to see sales numbers by color, and option, so I can say my car is 1 of XXX, due to the option variables. Corvette owners are notorious for advertising used cars this way. When we were writing the ad to sell my dad's, we figured out it was pretty rare, since it had an oem engine block heater, and joked about putting the "rarity" in the ad.

Just based on the percentages here: http://www.fhi.co.jp/english/news/pr...12_03_28e.html I figure my 2013 Lightning Red automatic, is 1 of 200. Gas door trim, and chrome fender garnish probably reduces it even more...holy crap, I need to get this thing in a vault.
